Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
This policy explains what information Tunely collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as we reasonably can.
1. Information we collect
Account: your email address. Authentication: temporary one-time login codes. Usage: the prompts you enter, the songs you generate, and basic activity needed to run the service and prevent abuse (including IP address and request counts). Payments: handled by our payment processor — we never receive or store your full card details.
Signing in with Google: if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, language preference and profile picture with Tunely, along with an ID number that identifies your Google account. We keep only your email address; we don't store the ID number or anything else. We use your email address only to create your account, sign you in, and send you the emails described in section 2. It stays with your account until the account is deleted. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone other than the service providers in section 4 that run Tunely for us. You can remove Tunely's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
2. How we use information
To provide and improve the service, sign you in, process payments and credits, prevent fraud and abuse, and send essential service messages (such as your login code). We also email you about your songs and your account, such as reminders and occasional news; every email that isn't essential has an unsubscribe link.
3. Cookies
We set a few small cookies of our own, listed below. None is used for ads, and none can follow you to other sites.
Signing in: one keeps you signed in for 30 days, or until you sign out (tunely_session). If you sign in with Google, two more last 10 minutes at most: one checks that the sign-in really came from you (g_state), the other brings you back in your language (g_lang).
Before you sign up: one lets this browser get back the songs it made without an account, which we keep for 30 days (tunely_guest, 90 days); one remembers that this browser has already made its free song (tunely_tried, 30 days); and one keeps a friend's invite code until you sign up, so the invite counts (tunely_ref, 30 days).
Links in our emails: one lets you play and rate your own song from an email we sent you, without signing in (tunely_song_link, 1 day).
Where you came from: one holds just the name of the site that first sent you here, such as Google, ChatGPT or YouTube (tunely_src, 30 days). If you sign up, we note it, along with whether you made a free song first, so we know what brings people to Tunely.
We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people reach. It sets its own cookies (their names start with _ga), which last up to two years. Tunely runs no ads, and Google's advertising features are switched off, so no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
The site also keeps a few things in your browser's own storage, such as a song idea you were typing, so they're still there when you come back. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser at any time. Tunely works the same without Google Analytics or tunely_src; signing in and the features above need the rest.
4. Service providers
We share data with trusted third-party providers strictly to operate Tunely: cloud hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and AI generation. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and generation data while your account is active. We keep secure backups for disaster recovery. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time (see Contact).
Songs made without an account are kept for 30 days so you can come back for them or save them to a free account; after that they are deleted.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us and we'll honor valid requests as required by law.
7. Children
Tunely is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll change the date above when we do; significant changes will be made clear.
